About The Trust
Bridges Community Trust started as the Meadows Forum, founded in 1996 by members of the community, with rich history of giving a voice to the Meadows community—an area historically impacted by violence and drug crimes and often overlooked. The trust has evolved over the years to fit the community’s needs. In 2011, the trust registered as a charity and opened a One Stop Shop for advice and support, with a particular focus on employment to match the community demand. The pandemic highlighted the need for continued community support that was face to face, leading us to focus on starting up services at the Queens Walk Community Centre and creating a hub for building community and developing partnerships
